August 2012 Favourites!

Hey dolls :)

So I know I go through phases, sometimes I do so many posts, and sometimes I don't do any, but I couldn't exactly wait for this one! Here are my August favourites :)

Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lipgloss: Wonder Melon
I bought this lipgloss at Sydney Airport for $11. At first I thought that was a huge rip-off but never the less, I love it. It is quite close to my natural lip colour but just gives my lips a lovely shimmery look. It also smells and tastes so so good!

Mirenesse Lipgloss
This lipgloss I have had for a while but haven't used it much. I started using it in the month of August and fell in love with it! It is really pigmented, and I feel anyone could pull this colour off.

Mac Eyeshadow: Ricepaper
I have wanted this eyeshadow for a while now and when I saw it at Target for $11 I knew I had to get it. It is just a bit lighter than my skin tone and has a slight shimmer to it. It is great for school.

Miss Dior Perfume
I got this perfume for my birthday from my boyfriend and honestly have worn it everyday since. It smells so, so good! It isn't overly fruity or floral, it is just a perfect scent for me. I urge you all to go and have a sniff when you have the opportunity to!

17 Wild Curls Mascara
First off, yes this mascara is brown. And I would usually never ever go for a brown mascara. But when my mum bought it home for me from England I gave it a go. It honestly doesn't come out brown on the lashes, (it looks black to me!) And it curls, separates, volumizes, lengthens....the whole lot! I love this mascara so much and have worn it almost everyday.

Essence Silky Touch Blush: 10 Adorable
So the main reason I love this blush is because...it retails for $3.95! And it is so good! I am not a huge blush fan, but when I saw this blush in the shops I had to try it out. It is great on my skin tone and is very wearable. It gives me a nice highlight of pink and is great for the price!

Victoria's Secret Makeup Bag
So this favourite is kind of random, but I felt I have to give it a mention seeing I take it literally everywhere. I also got this at Sydney Airport and it cost me $23. It fits not too much but not too little and is perfect to fit in my school or hand bag!

Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner
So recently I wear liquid eyeliner everyday that I wear makeup. I feel it just adds so much to my eyes. And to be completely honest...I suck at putting it on. It goes everywhere and the line is never straight. UNTIL! I came across this! It makes putting liquid eyeliner on so simple and lasts all day and night and AGH! I just love it. You need it in your life.

Mac Kohl Eyeliner: Powersurge
I HAVE WANTED THIS FOR SO LONG!  For my birthday, my good friend Grace gave me a $60 Mac voucher...so this was the first thing I bought. It lasts so long and it the most gorgeous colour. It is great to wear to school as it is not as dramatic as black liner.

Chanel Nail Colour: 531 Peridot
I have never in all my 16 years of existence seen a colour as unique or gorgeous as this. It is honestly indescribable. It changes from blue to green to gold and is honestly gorgeous. I have worn it so much and the quality is great. Hola new favourite nail polish!

Ecoya Candle: Pink Poppy and Peony
I got this candle from my grandma for my birthday and have had it burning everyday. It is so fresh and lovely and really brightens up my room :)

So that is my favourites for August, I hope you all enjoyed reading this post and leave me a comment telling me what your current favourites are for the month of August. See you in my next post! :)

P.S. Follow me on Instagram I just got it! (sophiemoyle)

Gradient Nails (Step-by-Step)

Hey lovelies :)

So I know that when I first started my blog I did a gradient nails post, but all it was was a photo of the end result and me trying to say how I did it. I thought it was time for me to do a proper step-by-step tutorial on these super adorable nails! Enjoy!
(Also I appologise for the quality on these photos, it is nighttime and I used my phone :P)

What You Will Need!
-2 or three nail polish colours (I used 3)
-A top coat (optional, although it does pull the whole look together)
-A sponge (nothing fancy)
-Nail polish remover
-Cotton buds (or whatever they are called!)

Step 1:

Paint your 2 or 3 colour in a line next to each other on a scrap piece of paper, plastic, cardboard etc. It is ok if they run into each other a little bit.

Step 2:
Place your sponge (or piece of sponge) onto the nail polish as shown. Proceed to dab that up and down. You will have to repeat that a few times so the colour is strong.

Step 3:
Once you have done that, your nails should look something like this....a mess. But don't worry! That can be easily fixed!

Step 4:
Take your cotton bud and dip it into some nail polish remover. Then just rub that all around the outside of your nail until the mess is gone!

Finnish off with your favourite top coat et voilĂ !

And there you have it! A super cute nail art tutorial which is very simple to do and can be recreated with loads of different colours! I really hope you enjoyed it! :)

Quick Review: Top Shop Eyeshadow and Lipstick!

Hey lovelies!
I am so so sorry I havn't posted much recently, as I said in my last post I have had so much school work and it makes me really angry as I want to keep doing regular posts!

Todays post is going to be on two Topshop makeup products I received for my birthday. I am planning on doing a "What I Got For My Birthday" post if you would be interested. I am very impressed with both of these products so thought I would review them! Enjoy! :)

Lipstick: Satorial

I absolutely love this colour! My mum chose it for me and I would usually never go for this colour. It is so pigmented and bold and such a lovely red/orange/coral colour...I love it! It is really creamy and lasts for a long time. I love it I love it I love it!

Smokey Eye Palette: Tawny

As you may or may not know, I LOVE NEUTRAL EYESHADOWS! So when I opened this I fell in love. The colours are gorgeous and have such great pigmentation, you can create such a lovely smokey eye with this! I am very impressed.

As you can probably tell I am very happy with the Topshop products. I felt that they were great quality and just all-round amazing. I will defiantly be ordering some online as you can't buy Topshop products in Australia :(

I hope you liked this review, please put in the comments what Topshop products you have tried out and which are your favourites! Also, if you have any requests for posts don't hesitate to let me know :)

Review: Revlon Lip Butter -Strawberry Shortcake

Hola lovelies :)

So firstly I am going to apologise for my lack of posts recently, I have been very busy as a lot of my exams are soon and I have a lot of school work to do. But I have found time to do another post, yay!

So this post is going to be on my newly purchased Revlon lip butter! I know there are literally thousands of posts on them but I am just so excited! I ummd and aahd over it for so long, and suddenly though about purchasing one from ebay! It cost me about $12 Australian which is a GREAT price (as they are usually $22 here!) So I am so so happy I bought one. The only downside is that it literally took so long to come I gave up thinking it was every going to arrive. (I am talking about over a month or so to get here!)

Click here to go to the place I bought it from. I do recommend buying from this seller appart from the fact it took so long to arrive. There are however so many other people selling them on ebay.

The colour is gorgeous, in different lights it can appear to have either a purple or yellow undertone, but to me it is just the perfect baby pink. I think it would be easy for anyone to pull off and it has gone with every outfit I have worn it with, I am in love!

I honestly love this lip butter so so much, they are great for any occasion! I think I will buy some more, hehehe :)

If you have a Revlon Lip Butter comment below and tell me what colour you have!

Style Stop: Floral Pants

Hey lovelies!

Just to start off I am going to say...I am back! (Obviously...) I was away for a week on a school camp. We went to central Australia to help out an Aboriginal community. We helped rebuild a school and just in general help out the lovely people that lived there. If you would like I can do a quick post showing you all some pictures of where I went and what we achieved.

I thought for my first post back I would do another Style Stop. This is where I find trends and  basically show where you can buy the items of clothing, what I think of the trend etc etc...

This posts trend is floral pants. Some people love them, some people hate them. Me? I am undecided, that is why I decided to do this post. If you own a pair of floral pants, tell me in the comments where they are from and you can even post a picture to my facebook page if you like!

Floral pants have been seen worn by many celebrities such as Miranda Kerr, Beyonce, Vanessa Hudgens and Rihanna, as well as on many catwalks. There are many types around, made by different fabrics, with different patterns and styles.
Personally I prefer floral pants which are made of denim, so basically floral jeans.

2. Mya Rose Print Trousers- $40 from Boohoo.com
