Beauty Blogger TAG: Get to know me :)

Hey everyone!
So I know I have already posted 2 posts today but I could't help but do another! (Ridiculous I know...) I thought that since I have been on blogspot for about a month I might let you all get to know me a bit more! I hope you enjoys this and I tag everyone to do this!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Straight! Not dead straight, but pretty straight, with wavy bits in it :)

2. What is your natural hair colour?
At the moment my hair is dyed and it has been for a while but my natural colour is middle to dark brown.

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
I have had my hair dyed at a salon twice and both times it cost me about $150...which is a lot, and I just got half a head of foils. I love the experience of going to a salon but recently I have just been doing it myself.

An old pic of what my hair used to be like!

I wash my hair  every second or third day.

I almost always wear my hair out on the weekends but at school I always change it. (At my school it is compulsory to wear your hair up.)

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I have had my nails done at a salon a couple of times but I have decided to stick to doing it myself. It's cheap and a lot of fun!

For school, about 5 minutes, on the weekend, 10 or 15 minutes, for a party? Can be over half an hour!

10. What do you do first, face or eyes?
Usually face, but sometimes when I do dramatic eyes I will do them first.

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you  need when you need it?
I don't buy buy buy anything I see but I must admit I do buy some things if they are on sale even if I don't need them.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Well, I cannot put false eyelashes on to save my life.... so never!

Yes usually.

I try to wash them every 2 weeks.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?
I like to have things planned, but I usually find myself running around at the last minute!

19. How often do you change your handbag?
I don't have a lot of hand bags so I usually switch between 2 or 3.

20. What time do you get up and go to sleep?
On school days I try to go to bed around 10 and I have to wake up at different times. Usually 6am. Weekend I go to sleep around 11 and wakeup whenever!

21. How often or when do you work out?
A few weeks ago I had an operation on my ankle so I haven't been able to work out for a while. I also have a lot of medical conditions so can't run or to team sport. I try to do home pilates and yoga though!

Beauty On a Budget: Purple Eye Makeup

Hey everyone :)
Today I went home from school early so decided to do a makeup look for you all! This is my first time doing a makeup tutorial so I really hope it is ok. If you have any ways in which you think I could improve this post (or advice for my next one!) please leave a comment and tell me!

Also, this makeup tutorial is using all drugstore products so is very affordable!

Step 1:
Apply a light pink or purple all over the lid.

Step 2:
Take a dark purple and put it in the outer part of your eye, blending up to the crease.

Step 3:
Apply a light, shimmery colour to the inner-corner of your eye.

Step 4:
Apply a thin coat of liquid eyeliner to your top lashes.
Step 5:
Line your water line and tight line with a black liner.

Step 6:
Apply 3-4 coats of your favourite mascara.

Products I used:

-Designer brands eyeshadow quad: $4.95
-Maybelline black eyeliner: $8.50
-Essence multi action mascara: $3.95
(I also used the Rimmel glam eyes for the liquid liner but didn't take a photo of it!)

Lips

I wanted to use an almost neutral colour for the lips as the eye makeup is very bright. I used this Savvy by designer brands lipstick in the colour 'pretty in pink' which was $4.95

I hope you all enjoyed this colourful eye makeup look! Please leave a comment and tell me what you think. I will be doing more makeup looks soon, I hope this one was ok for my first go :)

Another Nail Polish Haul! Revlon, TT, Sally Hansen

Hello lovelies! So yesterday I went a little crazy and bought another 13 nail polishes..... yes 13...but one is for my mum! Anyway I thought I would share with you the colours I bought :)

Revlon

The first brand of polishes I bought was Revlon. I do quite like the Revlon Polishes and they have some very interesting colours.

Princess
The first colour I got is this gorgeous blue colour with lots of silver shimmer through it. I hadn't seen a colour like this before and I do quite like it!

Black With Envy
This colour is a very dark grey with tiny silver shimmers through it.

790: No Shrinking Violet
This colour is a lot like Black With Envy but in purple. It again has tiny silver shimmers through it.

Pineapple Fizz
This colour is very strange... I honestly don't know if I will ever wear it. It is a yellow glittery polish. It is a strange type of glitter though... I can't describe it. The reason I bought it though is because....IT IS SCENTED! When you smell it in the bottle it just smells like nail polish, but once it dries it smells exactly like pineapple! It smells so so so good!!

165: Lilac Pastelle
This colour I actually bought last year but lost it! It is a gorgeous light pinky lilac colour. It is very sheer so you need to apply at least 2, 3 or even 4 coats.

Alluring Amber
This is a lovely solid almost pastel orange colour. I am very excited to wear this in the summer time!

902: Craving Coral
At first I was hesitant to buy 2 oranges that were quite similar, but I couldn't help it, I love them both. This colour is just a 'hot' orange colour.

Top Coat
The last Revlon polish I bought was just a top coat. I really needed a new top coat and I love this one because it gives a lot of shine. I also bought another one for my mum :P

TT: Tips & Toes
This brand of polish I had never seen before but it was at this little one day stall in Bondi Junction, so I decided to give them a go. I am really happy with them. The quality seems to be good and the colour pay off and pigmentation is very good.

Number 57
This colour has very good pigmentation, it is a great yellow and I am very excited to wear it in summer.

61
The next TT polish I got is just this silver polish. I really wanted a silver polish... I don't know why I just did, and now I have one!

 43
This colour is gorgeous! It is a solid lilac colour, very pretty and great for the spring!

One Random Sally Hansen Polish!

180: Disco Ball
This colour is a clear polish with glitter in it. The colour of the glitter is reflective, so when it is in the light the colour changes. I bought this so I could do my galaxy nails!

That is all the polishes I bought! I know quite a few, but I do really love nail polish at the moment :) Hope you all enjoyed! Please comment and tell me what you favourite colour is!

Review: Lux Body Wash

Hey everyone! Today I wanted to do a very quick review on the Lux body washes.

I bought the pomegranate and palm milk wash at the beginning of the year and immediately fell in love with it! I bought another one the other day and this one is even better! The one I bought this time was the shea butter and caramel. The 2 I own are both exfoliating washes but in the Lux range there is also smooth washes.

Where I bought it: Coles supermarket
Price: around $5 which is amazing!
What it does: Exfoliate my body very well! It also makes me smell yummy :P
Will I repurchase: Uuuummm...... YES!! Now I want to try all the flavours!
My favourite so far: I think I like the shea butter and caramel over the pomegranate and palm milk but they are both so amazing!

I know this was quite a random post, I hope that is ok! I was just in my shower this morning using these products and thought that as it is one of my favourite body washes (that I have ever tried!) that I would like to share it with you guys :) I would recommend this product to everyone!

Galaxy Nail Tutorial!

Hey everyone! Today was my first attempt at galaxy nails! I was quite scared that it would be really hard but I was completely wrong! These nails are (surprisingly) very easy! Please enjoy this tutorial and if you try it I would love you to send me a picture on my Facebook page!

What You Will Need:
-A base/top coat (optional)
-White nail polish
-Finley milled glitter polish
-Black polish
-Pink nail polish
-Light blue polish
-Light purple polish
-Dark/middle blue polish
-A makeup sponge
-Tweezers
-Something with a sharp end such
as a safety pin or toothpick

Step 1:
Paint your nails your nails with a base coat (optional) and then apply 2 coats of black polish or until the colour is solid.

Step 2:
Put a few drops of white polish onto a surface. Rip off a small piece of sponge and with tweezers dip it in the white polish.

Sponge the white on different parts of your nail to create a "nebula".

Step 3:
Do the same with the light blue and apply it over the white. Don't cover the white completely as you want some of it to show through. (Sorry the lighting in the second picture is very bright.)

Step 4:
Do the same with the purple, and ad a little bit of pink in the 'corners' of the nebula. I also applies some light patches of purple on some of the black. Then apply some of the dark blue on the edge of the white so the white blends into the black better.

Step 5:
With a pin/toothpick/safety pin (I used a safety pin although I think that was the hard way) dip it in some white polish and put little dots on the side of the 'nebula' On each nail I also drew little cross like shapes to look like twinkling stars.

Step 6:
Apply a coat of the glitter polish, finnish with a top coat, and you are done!
(The glitter didn't really show up in this picture ):

I really hope you all enjoyed this really fun and cute nail tutorial! It didn't take me that long and I am really happy with the results. Don't forget that if you try it out to post a picture to my Facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/Luckybeauty07
